Children's Ministries

Children's ministries here at College Place UMC is all about introducing children to the love of Jesus. Through fun, interactive Bible study and life application, we are discovering a God who is real and personal.

 

Once a month we introduce a new Biblical principle with a family event on Sunday evening at 5:30. Our large group gathering (children's church) and small groups (Sunday school) reinforce the Biblical principle as described below...

 

Family Experience is a monthly family worship service held in the Christian Life Center on the last Sunday night at 5:30. We introduce the Bible word and theme, and memory verse for the upcoming month's Bible study to be presented in Sunday school and Children's Church. Join us for some interactive kid-stlye worship and praise, skits, games and a children's sermon. Food and fellowship at 6:15. Sunday school for children is both fun and enlightening. We offer classes for 3 and 4 Year Olds, K and 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, 4th and 5th grade. Elementary students meet in the center of the education wing, preschool meets in the classroom behind the Sanctuary at the far south end. Each classroom is marked over the doorway. Kids love our "Solid Rock" curriculum with fun, Bible learning activities, and our way cool Sunday school teachers!

 

Children's Church is for children of all ages. Here we emphasize worship, and life application to the Bible story being presented in Sunday school. Our early service begins in the "BIG" classroom (signpost over classroom doorway reads 4th&5th) at 8:45 AM Sundays and includes praise & worship/music & movement, games, role playing, local mission projects, and prayer time. The 11:00 AM serivce follows the same format and begins following a children's moment in the Sanctuary. 

 

This summer... VBS is June 24 - 28, 5:30 - 8:00. Dare to go deep with God in "Operation Overboard". Assembly, music, games, crafts, Bible stories, and serving a snack supper each night. Register now by clicking on the link from this website.   

 

Noah's Ark Preschool is all about hands-on learning in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Academic lessons are disguised as play, art, games, and music and movement. Our Preschool program meets 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Two year olds meet Tuesday and Thursday or Monday and Wednesday; 3's meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 4's meet Monday through Friday.
