A Community of Love & Faith

About CPUMC

College Place United Methodist Church was "born" in July 1962, after McKendree UMC voted to relocate to our current location at Altama Avenue in Brunswick, Georgia. Services began at a building on the site on October 14 that year.

College Place broke ground for a portion of its current facility on February 10, 1963. By mid-August, services began -- led by the Rev. Sam Rogers.

In the 40-plus years since, College Place has expanded to hold a congregation of more than 750 and has added classrooms, a Christian Life Center (2003), an expanded Youth Activity Building, a front parking lot, and most recently, a digital sign to visually reach out to the surrounding community.

We hope you'll choose to visit us. If you want more information about what to expect, please see the Visting with us? section on the home page. If you already have visited, we hope you find ways on this website to connect with other Christians for God's service within our church.

Below is a map of the existing College Place church with a legend beneath for more information. We hope to see you soon!
