Children's Ministries

Children's ministries here at College Place UMC is all about introducing children to the love of Jesus. Through fun, interactive Bible study and life application, we are discovering a God who is real and personal.

Sunday school for children is both fun and enlightening. Classes are as follows...3&4 Year Olds, K&1st, 2nd&3rd, 4th&5th. Elementary meets in the center of the education wing, preschool meets in the classroom behind the Sanctuary at the far south end. Each classroom is marked over the doorway. kids love our "Solid Rock" curriculum with fun, Bible learning activities, and our way cool Sunday school teachers!

Children's Church is for children of all ages. Our "Experience" service begins in the "BIG" classroom (signpost over classroom doorway reads 4th&5th) at 8:45 AM Sundays and includes Praise & Worship music and movement, interactive Bible lessons, skits, prayer time, and take home pages. The "Traditional" service (11:00 AM) begins following a children's moment in the sanctuary.

Kids' Praise Team Sundays at 4:30 children grades K-5th rehearse songs and skits to be presented during morning worship services as occasions arise. This Sunday, March 21, "The NaNaNa Song."

MEF (Methodist Elementary Fellowship) Sundays 5:00 - 7:00 PM Pre-K - 5th grade. We begin each week in the Christian Life Center with a fun, large-group assembly, followed by supper at 5:30, small group time 5:50 - 6:50, and closing assembly through 7:00. This ministry is for the enrichment of the Bible Story learning activities done in Childrens Church each week.

Through music & movement, games, movies, arts & crafts, and mission projects we learn life application and memory verses.

Easter Egg Hunt: Sunday, March 21 during MEF. Bring a flower to add to our children's flower garden, some garden tools, and your basket for collecting eggs. The fun begins with outdoor games and planting flowers. Then supper and finally an egg hunt. Turn in your eggs for a goody bag to take home. Bring a friend!

Noah's Ark Preschool is all about hands-on learning in a loving, Christ-centered environment. Academic lessons are disguised as play, art, games, and music and movement. Our Preschool meets 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday through Friday throughout the school year. Two year olds meet Tuesday and Thursday or Monday and Wednesday; 3's meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 4's meet Monday through Friday. Please feel free to stop by and check us out anytime.
