Welcome Rev. Scott Stanfill & Family
College Place United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the appointment by Bishop David Graves of Reverend Scott Stanfill to CPUMC. Scott and Amber, his wife of 16 years, along with their children, Grace and Luke, are coming to us from Colquitt, Georgia, where they have served the Colquitt United Methodist Church since 2018. Scott is beginning his 10th year in pastoral ministry, having also served his home church, Albany First United Methodist Church, as an Associate Minister. A graduate of The University of Georgia and Asbury Theological Seminary, Scott has a passion in ministry for seeing the image of God renewed in every person through faith and growth in Christ and embodied through service to others.
Amber is a "Double Dawg" from UGA, having earned a bachelors and masters in Early Childhood Education. She also earned her specialist in Educational Leadership from Albany State University. With 14 years of teaching experience, Amber is thrilled to be joining the Glynn County School System in August. Grace is 8 years old and enjoys dance, softball, soccer, and basketball. Luke is 6 years old and loves hunting, fishing, baseball, basketball, and football. The children are particularly excited to be in close proximity to the beaches.
Rev. Stanfill’s first Sunday will be June 19. All are invited to come worship in-person with the College Place Family at one of our two services, at 8:45 and 11:00, and welcome Scott, Amber, Grace, and Luke to our community. Please extend a warm welcome to The Stanfill Family and pray for their transition into ministry here in Glynn County.
